It works by acting as a selective proteasome inhibitor.
Kyprolis Dosage
The recommended beginning dose is 20 mg/m2 in cycle 1 on days 1 and 2. If tolerated, increase the dose to 27mg/m2 on day 8 of cycle 1.

Common side effects may include:

A study demonstrated that patients taking Kyprolis had a median overall survival of 47.8 months, versus 38.8 months in the Velcade group.
