Pancreatic Cancer at a Glance

Pancreatic cancer first starts in the pancreas' tissues. Many kinds of growth could occur. Also referred to as ductal carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, happens to be the most common type of pancreatic cancer that accounts for over 90% of pancreatic cancer cases. This particular cancer takes place in the lining of the ducts in the pancreas.


Pancreatic Cancer Cause

Some contributing risk factors of pancreatic cancer range from diabetes, pancreatitis, family history of having genetic syndromes, and family history of pancreatic cancer.


Pancreatic Cancer Symptoms & Signs

Most common symptoms are the following:

  • Blood clots
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea
  • Weight loss
  • Reduced appetite
  • Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes)
  • Stomach or back pain
  • Diabetes
  • Liver or gallbladder enlargement
